> Pavement and Roadway Design 13th and Broadway Intersection Improvements, City of Wichita Construction Completed: Summer 2008 As part of its ongoing CIP program, the City of Wichita will re-built the intersection of 13th Street North and Broadway. Previously, the intersection was of two, four lane roadways with no provisions for protected turning movements. The new design allows protected left turns on each approach, and includes full signalization of the intersection. Right-of-way and grading issues were the major design challenges on this project, as the widened pavement had to be designed such to match the numerous driveways and sidewalks adjacent to the area. Please contact Jim Armour, P.E. City Engineer at 316-268-4501. > Water Line Replacement Pine Bay Water Distribution Project, City of Wichita This project provided water service for an area of south Wichita recently annexed. Completion of the project provided both domestic water and the ability for fire protection. > Drainage Southwest Passage Drainage Study Survey cross sections; model flooding and submit for Division of Water Resources and FEMA map revisions to permit fill and impoundments within flood hazard areas.
