Dakota Zimmerman is a Construction Inspector with Ruggles & Bohm in Wichita. He is involved with observation and inspection of various design projects as they transition to construction. Since joining our firm, he has worked on a number of large projects, including the Block 1 projects in downtown Wichita (Ambassador Hotel, parking structure, and public infrastructure improvements), several high profile retail projects (including Costco and Academy Sports + Outdoors on Greenwich Road), and the new parking structure and rental car center at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. Dakota has been instrumental in the transition of our inspectors from traditional paper reporting and plan sets, to an almost completely digital workflow.
Dakota has completed the Kansas Department of Transportation Certified Inspection and Testing Training program in Bridges, Structures, Asphalt, Concrete Paving, QA/QC and Environmental Inspection and is also an ACI-Grade I Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician. He graduated in the spring of 2012 graduate from Iowa State University with a degree in Construction Engineering.
